Kgalagadi
Since the Mata-Mata border post opened in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at the end of 2007, you can now slip into the southeastern parts of Namibia after your visit to the park.
You now don’t have to drive all the way back to Twee Rivieren and then cross the border at Ariamsvlei. However, you have to spend two nights in the park if you want to use this border post (to ensure that the park doesn’t become a thoroughfare between Twee Rivieren and Mata-Mata).
Spend the night at the beautiful Kalahari tented camp with its cool swimming pool, only 3 km from the border.
This unfenced camp on wooden platforms has a view of a waterhole and is a good place to start your holiday on the right note.
